Gatorz Magnum Blackout Shooting Glasses: American Made Quality

I first saw Gatorz at the drop zone in San Diego about 10 years ago. Guys from the SEAL teams were jumping with them; this blew my mind. How could you jump with sunglasses? You have to wear goggles right? I got my first pair of Gatorz back then and many jumps later they became my favorite sunglasses.

I have been wearing with Magnum Blackout Shooting glasses from Gatorz for a month now. They have quickly become my favorites for shooting. The first thing I noticed was they are so comfortable that I forget I am wearing them.

I have the Optimized Polarized lenes which enhance colors and make contrasts pop yet don’t obscure digital screens. They work great with red dot sights. See better, shoot better.

Gatorz is famous for producing good looking eyewear that is tough. They continually chase technology advances to meet the needs of serious users.

The classic Magnum frame offers enhanced eye protection in the popular wrap style you know and love.  Custom fit makes it comfortable, high impact resistant lenses shield your eyes from fragments. Win, Win.

The Magnum has a fully adjustable frame and nosepiece to ensures a custom comfortable and secure fit.  Thin temples fit easily under helmets or ear protection.

Gatorz high-velocity impact-resistant lenses, push the envelope on performance exceeding the ANSI 87.1 Z, MILSPEC Ballistic standards.  Whether you are shooting, working, or exploring the outdoors. You only have one set of eyes. Protect them aggressively.

Magnum is tough. What is Z87.1? It is kind of a big deal. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) creates uniform testing standards and guidelines for a variety of products and equipment used by businesses in nearly every sector.

The Z87.1 portion of ANSI standards references the standards for Occupational and Educational Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices. These standards help ensure that personal eye and face protection devices provide the necessary protection from impact, non-ionizing radiation, and liquid splash exposures.

About Gatorz:

Gatorz launched in 1989 in San Diego, California with the intent to build rugged eyewear from billet aluminum that mission-driven people could rely on for both protection and clarity. Conventional, plastic-framed eyewear could deform when met with the high wind force of skydiving and motorcycle riding; Gatorz saw an unfulfilled need and developed a solution. Gatorz’ strength and no-slip fit soon made its way from skydiving and motorcycle sports into the US military’s special operations community, with the original Magnum frame as a favorite, dependable eye protection solution for functional ballistic protection.
