XS F8 Night Sights
When You Want the Fastest Sights in Any Light
Let’s face it, stock plastic sights leave a lot to be desired. Most of us replace the stock sights as soon as they drift a little, get damaged, or we come up with a great excuse to tell our spouse of why we need to spend the cash. When you’re ready to spend the cash, check out XS F8 Night Sights.
There are lots of options on the market for aftermarket sights and you can spend a lot or a little.
XS Sights have a different take on aligning the dots left to right horizontally. The XS F8 Night Sights are stacked on top of each other vertically.
XS F8 Night Sights are built for all lighting conditions. In bright light condition,s the large orange front sight maximizes visibility through a photoluminescent ring that absorbs light and glows in low light.
Tritium front and rear (in green) do the job in no and low light conditions. The emphasis is rightly placed on the front sight.
They beefed up the rear sight with a large ledge to help with one-handed slide manipulations and put a wide notch that draws focus to the top sight edges in all lighting conditions. That beefed up size of the sights can cause problems for holster fit so be sure to check DS Sights website for a list of approved holsters to guarantee fitment. I made the mistake of not checking the list and now I’m in the market for a new IWB holster.
What I love about these sights is the big, easy-to-see front sight that draws your eye where it belongs and that it does this regardless of the lighting conditions. If the shooting you do is for defensive purposes – this is the sight for you. If you are interested in some instruction on how to do that, come check us out at Willapa Firearms Training!
XS Sights are made in the USA proud and they have a no questions asked warranty on all their products. If the product becomes damaged in any way, they will replace the sights. After 10 years, XS Tritium Night Sights can be replaced at a steeply discounted price.
The sights I received were easy to install with the supplied front sight driver and my plastic capped hammer for the rear sight.
The sights I installed were the GL-F008P-5 on my Glock 43 which are priced at $142.00.
