Photo of the Week:DP-28

This weeks Photo of the Week features the Russian DP-28 machine gun. Our sample is owned by Arctic Arms in Chugiak Alaska and the owner James Foley was nice enough to let us examine it a while back. Chambered in 7.62x54R this machine gun is fairly controllable most likely because of its heavy steel construction. Notice the top mounted pan magazine similar to the British Lewis Gun. This guns served the Russians/Soviets and their allies for decades.
