Milk-Run Gun Options & More with Varda Concealed Carry Clothing

Sometimes you just want to be comfortable

Sometimes when you are just wanting to be comfortable and relaxed you also need or might need your firearm.  Your firearm is a tool, and that tool is only worth something to you if you actually have it with you when you need it.  Kind of like the phrase my dad used to say to me of, “what caliber is the best for you to carry for self-defense?  The one you have on you and not at home on the nightstand.”  Instead of carrying a small pocket-carry type firearm to accomplish the comfortable part of this equation and having your sweatpants sagging, what if I told you that you just need better clothing options, belt options, and holster options?

Varda has a solution

After wearing my uniform for 14 hours, I like going home to a pair of sweatpants.  Wearing a Glock 19 with a pair of sweatpants doesn’t work so well….. or does it?

Varda Concealed Carry makes Concealed Carry Activewear, and they are making in right here in the USA.  The clothing line is growing but for now you have several options of discrete and comfortable concealed carry shirts and fleece sweats!

Men’s Runner Tee

The Men’s Runner Tee fit true to size and the material itself has a very nice “hand” to it.  It has a performance material feel and fit to it.  You can choose from blue, green, or grey colors and they are what my eyes see as a heather color.  The beauty of this shirt is that it isn’t just a longer cut to cover a pistol but it has a unique double bottom to it.  You tuck the inside layer in and then wear your holster as you normally would.  The shirt keeps you from getting that holster rash that you can get without an under shirt and the outer layer lays loose over the top of your pistol, easily concealing it from view.

The Men’s Runner Tee doesn’t have the usual Don’t Tread On Me logos or the like to scream to the rest of the world that, “hey, I’m carrying a firearm!”  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want you to tread on me, I just don’t want you to know that I have teeth to fight back!

The shirt is made of 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex and is priced at $59.00.

Men’s Short Sleeve Concealment Polo

The Men’s Short Sleeve Concealment Polo seemed to fit a little slimmer than normal for me and in my opinion, size up one.  The material of the shirt is just thick enough to be comfortable but help in concealing a pistol.  The same design for the Runner Tee is implemented and it just works!

This shirt is 86% Polyester and 14% Spandex.  I don’t know what the market wants but I don’t want a “slim fit” anything for concealed carry and hope that these get changed up just a little bit on fitting.

The Men’s Short Sleeve Concealment Polo is available in Charcoal Gray and Indigo Blue with pricing at $89.00.  The quality and material of this shirt is excellent.

Men’s Fleece Sweats

I’m not going to lie to you, when I initially saw this product I laughed and asked myself, “what the Fudd is this?”  Then I saw them in-person and tried them… I love them.  They are super comfortable, and the design actually works exceptionally well.

I paired these sweats with my KORE Essentials belt with it’s flat buckle and ratcheting system.  I wore my Glock 19 holster with TLR1-HL Streamlight WML in an inside the waistband holster and found it to conceal perfectly and in total comfort.  I also tried out my Sig 365XL in my N8Tactical IWB Xecutive Holster.  Wearing the sweats with the Men’s Runner Tee left me in complete comfort, no sagging, no printing, and I was able to carry securely.

The sweatpants themselves are just plain cozy with a 95% Cotton and 5% Elastane mix and no skinny jeans style fitment going on.  I put the sweatpants on, rolled down the elastic band and threaded my belt through the internal loops.  I won’t put the belt on that way again, I would definitely put the belt on the pants first before putting them on.  Once the belt was in place, I placed my IWB holster at the appendix position and rolled up the sweatpants elastic band for perfect concealment and total comfort.

You could easily run to the store for a gallon of milk in your sweatpants and no one would be the wiser that you are ready to protect yourself and others.

Women’s Runner Tank

Varda also offers a Women’s Runner Tank but as you can hopefully guess, I didn’t try that one out.  That’ll be for a different day, and I’ll talk one of my daughters or my wife into trying that out for me.

I hope to see Varda Concealed Carry continue their line of clothing and maybe offer a non-slim-fit version of the polo.  A quality plain cotton style t-shirt line would be amazing as well, using their comfortable and discreet wait of concealing firearms.
