SHOT Show Favorites: Taylor’s & Company Suppressed Lever Action Rifle
Taylor’s & Company Suppressed 1886 Ridge Runner Rifle in .45-70 is a head turner. This take down version takes the classic 1886 rifle and turns it into a versatile firearm. It features all the original qualities of the 1886 rifle made by John Browning with the take down capability identical to the 1892 take down rifle. This classic version holds onto the traditional bluing and case hardening finishes while the Ridge Runner versions are upgraded to feature a more modern finish.
Taylor’s & Company has been selling great lever actions for a long time. The Ridge Runner version features modern upgrades such as: matte chrome finish, black rubber soft touch over wood stocks, half-round & half-octagonal barrel, integrated Skinner peep & weaver rail rear sight, front fiber optic sight, sling swivels, D-shaped lever, and a muzzle brake. A threaded cap is included if the muzzle brake is not used and the muzzle brake thread is 5/8 X 24.
The secret ingredient is suppressor. Lever action guns make great hosts for cans. Capitol Armory put together a great package with the Ridge Runner and a SilencerCo Hybrid. The Hybrid™ is the silencer for any platform.
Compatible with pistol calibers from 9mm to .45ACP, rifle calibers from 5.56mm to .45–70 GOV, and many in between like .458 SOCOM, the Hybrid is both full auto and magnum-rated and can be used on pistols, rifles, and submachine guns.
Boasting low-120 dB’s on .300 BLK and remaining hearing safe with .45–70 GOV, the Hybrid offers an unparalleled pairing of versatility and performance — a combination you’ve come to expect from SilencerCo products. The Hybrid is rated down to 16” barrels for .45–70 GOV and .458 SOCOM and down to 18” barrels for all magnum calibers up to .338 Lapua Magnum. With a slew of compatible accessories available, you can turn the Hybrid into the perfect silencer for any demand.
