I am running the PRD 2 on a Meta Tactical APEX carbine. The three MOA dot was perfect for home defense uses. With 1 MOA adjustments, zeroing was a snap. Each click moved the impact of the round 1/4 inch at 25 yards. In three groups I was blowing up the target. An Allen key is provided to make the adjustments.
I was surprised when I opened the box. The sight is automatic there are no user controls. It has automatic turn on and turn off and auto-set brightness. It was a relief to just let the sight do all the work. I tried it in bright sun and total darkness. If it is dark and you turn on a light, the dot adjusts itself perfectly.
I shot more than 500 rounds on paper and steel with a variety of ammunition. The PRD2 did exactly what it was supposed to do. I highly recommend it for home protection with a quality light such as Streamlight.
