The Riton 3 Tactix PRD 2 is a powerful rifle and pistol red dot with shake awake, auto brightness, and auto off. The PRD 2 provides rapid target acquisition precision. Designed with an RMR footprint, the optic features a precise 3 MOA dot, making it ideal for pistol and AR platforms.

I am running the PRD 2 on a Meta Tactical APEX carbine. The auto-adjust Riton 3 Tactix PRD 2 red dot for this application because the light weight, low profile and 40,000 hours battery life makes it perfect for next to the bed standby. It remains inert until you move it, then it springs to life and adjusts to ambient light automatically. The PRD 2 features a 3 MOA dot and a Picatinny rail adapter mounts right up on rifle platforms.

The APEX Carbine Conversion Kit is the world’s first bullpup-style pistol conversion kit. Turn your Glock or Smith and Wesson pistol into a handy carbine for range fun and home defense. The APEX is compatible with most 9mm Glock, Smith & Wesson and P80 handguns. Available in Black, Stealth Grey, OD Green and Flat Dark Earth it has an MSRP of $599.99.

The three MOA dot was perfect for home defense uses. With 1 MOA adjustments, zeroing was a snap. Each click moved the impact of the round 1/4 inch at 25 yards. In three groups I was blowing up the target. An Allen key is provided to make the adjustments.

I was surprised when I opened the box. The sight is automatic there are no user controls. It has automatic turn on and turn off and auto-set brightness. It was a relief to just let the sight do all the work. I tried it in bright sun and total darkness. If it is dark and you turn on a light, the dot adjusts itself perfectly.

I shot more than 500 rounds on paper and steel with a variety of ammunition. The PRD2 did exactly what it was supposed to do. I highly recommend it for home protection with a quality light such as Streamlight.
